Community Newsletter #9 - October 16, 2017

Dear Rainier Families,

On Friday night we had our second annual Bingo Night fundraiser.  Like last year, the event was a huge success with many of our students, teachers and families attending.  We love this event because it brings together our community for a night of fun, we get the support of local businesses, and so many of our community members go home with prizes that they can use for fun experiences with family and friends.  This year the event raised about $2,800 for Rainier to help us fund sports, trips, and additional supports for our students and teachers.

Thank you so much to the corporations, local businesses, and Summit families that donated prizes, and all the volunteers that helped make this event happen. We want to give a special thank you to all faculty that supported by leading the pre-sale initiative and helped at the event. We’d also like to thank the following parent volunteers that helped make this event a reality: Rebecca Chinn, Michi Little, Ana Mailie, Kunthea King, Cindy Aviles, Marci Redenbaugh, Diana Carlet, Melanie Wolfson, Mary Goon, Gary Tilbury, Lupe Trujillo, Yolanda Carrillo, Lisa Kobayashi, and Tassica Stern.

And now a drum roll for the winners of the mentor group pre-order sales challenge…congratulations to Ms. Burns’ and Mr. Quiñones’ mentor groups! Their mentor group each had over $75 worth of pre-order sales which earns them an ice cream treat! Thanks to everyone who did pre-order sales!

Little, Ana Mailie, Kunthea King, Cindy Aviles, Marci Redenbaugh, Diana Carlet, Melanie Wolfson, Mary Goon, Gary Tilbury, Lupe Trujillo, Yolanda Carrillo, Tassica Stern and Lisa Kobayashi.

Sinceramente,

Jesse Roe, Director ejecutivo
