Rainier 2017-18 Community Newsletter #27

Dear Rainier Families,

This week our 9th, 10th, and 11th graders go on their study trips! We believe that these trips expose our students to a wide variety of colleges and helps them see themselves as college students.

Our 11th grade trip leaves early Tuesday morning for LA, we are set for transportation on this trip due to the hard work of parents in fundraising for buses to LA.

Our 9th and 10th grade trips leave Wednesday but we are still short a few drivers per trip and we need your help! Because both of these trips are local, it helps even if you can only drive on Wednesday or Thursday. If you are available to drive, please call the front desk.

As we leave our campus and become guests on more than 10 different college campuses, it is important to remind our students that their actions on this trip represent Rainier and have a big impact on whether we are able to keep visiting colleges. Please take a moment to speak with your child about following all school rules on the trip and following directions given by any adult on the trip whether it is a teacher, a chaperone, or a tour guide. Our first job on this trip is to keep our students safe and that job is much easier when we can rely on students to be on their best behavior.

Sincerely,

-Jesse Roe, Executive Director
-Edwin Avarca, Assistant Director

Sinceramente,

-Jesse Roe, Director ejecutivo
-Edwin Avarca, Sub director
